How to Fix Missing Sections Tab in Kadence Design Library

Before we learn more about this, here is a little background on Kadence Design Library and from where the Sections tab is missing.

Kadence Design Library is a collection of block based templates that you can use to quickly build beautiful pages using the default WordPress editor (Gutenberg).

This collection includes both individual sections and pages and these can be used with just one click.

In case you are wondering, if you can customize these templates then the answer is YES.

Just like any other section on your site, you can customize these easily as per your needs.

Keeping this in mind, it is important to know that, in Kadence Blocks 3.0.30, an update for Kadence Design Library was released.

And in this update, its interface was revamped and new templates and features were added.

Now, when you will visit the Kadence Design Library, you will notice new categories and sections.

And as a result of this, the legacy Sections tab and the templates were removed.

Now, you can see in the screenshot above, the Sections tab on top is missing in the new Kadence Design Library.

If you want to add the Sections tab and use the templates that came with it then you will have to connect to Kadence Library Cloud.

And in this tutorial we have share the complete process.

Before we move forward, it is important to know that both free and Kadence Blocks Pro user can access this library.

However, templates marked as Pro can only be used if you have a premium subscription.

Login to WordPress dashboard

To fix missing Sections tab in Kadence Design Library, the first step is to login to your WordPress dashboard.

For this you will have to visit- https://your-site.com/wp-admin and it will take you to the landing page.

Please Note- Replace your-site.com with your domain name.

Here you will have to enter your credentials and click Login

Open Kadence Design Library

Once you are inside your WordPress dashboard, the next step is to open Kadence Design Library.

For this you will have to add a new post or a page or edit an existing one.

Doing this will take you to the WordPress editor (Gutenberg) and here you need to click the Design Library button on the top toolbar.

On clicking, it will open the Kadence Design Library modal and it will show you all the templates.

Connect with Kadence Library Cloud

Before we move forward, it is important to know that if you are using Kadence Blocks version 3.0.30 or above then you will not see the Sections tab on top and only the Kadence tab will be visible.

Now, to fix missing Sections tab in Kadence Design Library modal, you will have to click the + icon otherwise known as Connect Cloud on the top.

On clicking Connect Cloud, it will show you a form where it is required that you add a Connection URL and Connection Access Key.

  • Connection URL- https://cloud.kadenceblocks.com/
  • Connection Access Key: section

Once you are done till here, the next step is to click Add Connection.

And in a few seconds it will add the legacy Sections tab in Kadence Design Library modal.

To check if the missing Sections tab is now visible in the Kadence Design Library, you need to refresh the page.

And in the next step you will have to click the Design Library button on the toolbar.

As you can see the Sections tab is now available right next to Kadence in Design Library.

In the next step you need to click Sections and it will show you all the categories and templates.

As mentioned before, if you are using free Kadence Blocks plugin then you will be able to only use the free templates.

And for using premium, you will have to buy Kadence Blocks Pro or any of the Kadence WP bundles.
