How to get started with Tailwind Create for Free
Now that you are familiar with what Tailwind and Tailwind Create has to offer including the pricing, the next step is to sign up with Tailwind for free.
Before we move forward, it is important to know that if you have an existing Tailwind account then you can access Tailwind Create directly from your dashboard by clicking the brush icon on the Tailwind menu on the sidebar.
We will talk more on this once we reach that process in the sign up process in this tutorial.
Coming to the point, to create a free account on Tailwind the first step is to visit Tailwindapp.com using our SPECIAL LINK and then click Sign up Free on the homepage.
On doing this, it will take you to the sign up page where you will have to provide some basic details such as
- First name
- Password
Once you enter the required details and click Create Account, it will take you to the next step where it will ask you what describes your business the best.
You will get 6 options to choose from
- Blogger
- Brick and Mortar
- Seller
- Marketing a client
- Service provider
- Influencer / Other
As we are majorly into creating content and offer only a free WordPress blog step service, we will selecting Blogger here.
And depending on your business you can select an option that fits best and then click Next.
When you click Next, it will ask you to connect your Pinterest or Instagram account.
It is important to know that you can connect either of the two and then add the other one later.
For this tutorial we will be connecting Pinterest.

To do this you will have to click Connect to Pinterest and it will take you to Pinterest where it will ask for your permission to access the account information.
Here you need to click Give Access and it will show you the Tailwind’s welcome page.
As this article is about the latest Tailwind Create update, here you will have to click “I need to create new design” and it will take you to your Tailwind dashboard.
Once there you will see the Tailwind Create Welcome message and you are required to click the Start Creating Now button to get started for free.
Before we move forward it is important to keep in mind that if you have an existing account on Tailwind app then you can access Tailwind Create by clicking the brush icon in the sidebar as mentioned above.
And it will show you the exact same welcome page.
Having said that,
Once you are on the Tailwind Create welcome screen inside your Tailwind dashboard, you are required to click Start Creating Now.
And on clicking this button, it will show you a popup with Tailwind Create’s terms of service.
Here you will have to accept the terms and in the next step it will show a popup with Tailwind Create’s welcome video.
You need to click Continue or close this popup by clicking the x icon and it will show you the options to set up your brand preferences.
As mentioned before, Tailwind Create lets you
- Add brand information
- Select fonts
- Pick colors
- Upload logos
It is important to know here that Tailwind Create lets you change or update your brand preferences anytime you want.
Once you are done selecting your preferences click Save and Continue at the bottom of the page.
Doing this will take you to the next step where you will have to provide some basic information about the posts for which you are looking to create the designs.
Here you are required to provide
- Destination link
- Title
- Photos
In case you do not have images that you can upload then you can use the built in stock photo search option below to find and add one.
Also, it is recommended that you upload / add multiple images so that Tailwind Create can show you a variety of designs to choose from.
After you are done till here, you need to click Generate Images and Tailwind Create will generate multiple social media images for each social media platform. (Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook)
Now, to see the images for Instagram and Facebook you need to click the Post Types drop down and it will show you the graphics.
In case you want to make changes to the design then you can do that by using the Design Settings on the left.
Once you are done making the changes, you need to select that graphics then click Review your selection at the bottom
And it will show you the option to download or schedule the image. You can pick an option depending on your preference.
And that’s it you have created a free account on Tailwind and design your first graphic with Tailwind Create.

Currently you cannot schedule posts for Facebook. But this feature is said to be released soon. However, Tailwind Create does allow you to create images for Facebook with just a few clicks.
