The Elementor Pro 3.5 update was released on 1st November 2021 and it includes features such as
- WooCommerce Checkout widget
- WooCommerce Cart widget
- WooCommerce My Account widget
- Progress Tracker widget
- Scroll Snap
And more.
Below we have listed all the topics we have covered for this latest Elementor Pro 3.5 update and you can jump to the section of your choice by clicking on the links.
New Progress Tracker widget in Elementor Pro 3.5
If you are fond of reading blogs or online magazines then I’m sure you must have come across sites with reading progress bar or meter or a progress tracker on top that lets you know how much of the page you have scrolled through.
This tracker gives the users a positive reinforcement by displaying what’s left on the page and at the same time creates a FOMO which can lead to people staying on the page for a longer time.
Before Elementor Pro 3.5, to add the progress tracker you had to use another plugin or addon. However, this version of the comes with Progress tracker widget.
And this means you no longer will have to install additional plugins to add this feature to your site.
You can find the new Progress tracker widget in the Pro widgets section and you can add it to any page, post, single post or page or any other template in the theme builder.
Just like the other widgets, Elementor gives you the complete control over its styling and where it can be displayed starting with letting you select a Tracker type.
You get 2 options to choose from and these are
- Horizontal
- Circular
Following this it lets you pick if you want to track the progress for the entire page, only post content or based on some selector id or class.
Apart from this you can set the direction of its progress and if you want to display percentage completion or not.
As far as the styling of the progress tacker is concerned you can pretty much customize any aspect of it starting with
- Color
- Border
- Background
- Shadow
- Percentage color
- Typography
And more.
You can find these option under the Styling tab of the widget.
Scroll Snap in Elementor Pro 3.5
Another interesting feature that has been included in the Elementor Pro 3.5 update is the Scroll Snap.
In case you are not familiar with this then let me tell you it is a feature using which you can control the scroll by declaring specific positions.
Using scroll snap you can easily highlight what’s important on your site by taking the user to that section with just a scroll.
Often you must have seen this feature being used on single page sites or landing pages where using the scroll takes you directly to the new section.
Before we move forward and learn more about scroll snap in Elementor Pro 3.5, it is important to know that this feature is currently in Beta.
And hence it will have to be activated first by visiting Experiments in Elementor settings in your WordPress dashboard.
Please note- If a feature is in Experiments and not active by default then we personally do not suggest using it on a live site.
Keeping this in mind, once you are done activating Scroll Snap in Elementor Experiments, you need to either create a page using Elementor or edit an existing one.
After this you need to click the Settings gear icon in the Elementor panel.
And on clicking, it will show you the Page settings.
Here you need to navigate to the Advanced tab where you will find the Scroll Snap feature.
Once you activate Scroll Snap, it lets you select its Position, Padding and Stop.
You can use this Scroll Snap feature in a very creative way to give your users a unique experience.
