What’s New in Elementor Pro 3.14 Update
In our previous article we have touched on Elementor 3.14 update.
And in this article we will discuss what’s new in Elementor Pro 3.14.
Elementor Pro 3.14 update is for the premium version version of the website builder plugin.
And this means you will only be able to use these features if you have a valid Elementor Pro license.
Now coming to the features and improvements, a new Carousel widget has been introduced that will give you access to infinite design possibilities and nesting capabilities.
Also, a new divider option has been added to Menu widget along with addition of Shop Page in Site Settings, Static Item Position feature in Alternate template and more.

Elementor Pro 3.14 Update
Before we learn more about Elementor Pro 3.14, it is important to know that this update was released on 19th June 2023.
And below are all the topics covered
New Carousel Widget
The first new feature that has been introduced in Elementor Pro 3.14 update is the new Carousel widget.
And using it you will be able to create custom carousel using Elementor easily.
To see the new Carousel widget, the first step is to activate Flexbox Container.
And for this you need to click Settings under Elementor in your WordPress dashboard.
Doing this will show you all the Elementor settings and here you will have to click the Features tab.
On clicking Features tab, it will show you all the ongoing experiments and stable features.
Here under Ongoing experiments you will come across Flexbox Container.
Now, to enable Container widget in Elementor you need to select Active in the dropdown and Save changes.
Please note- After activating flexbox container, it will not show you inner section widget in Elementor editor. In other words, you will not be able to use it. However, you will still be able to edit sections, templates, pages and posts created using it.
After you are done till here, you need to activate Nested Elements feature in Elementor.
And for this you need to search for Nested Elements under Ongoing experiments.
Once found, you will have to select Active in the dropdown and Save changes.
In the next step, you need to edit or create a page with Elementor
And in the Elementor side panel you have to search for Carousel.
Doing this will show you the new Carousel widget that has been released in Elementor Pro 3.14.
You can add this widget on canvas by either dragging and dropping or by simply clicking the widget.
As you can see in the screenshot above, with the New Carousel widget you get access to empty containers or in other words you have a blank canvas.
Here you can add any widget and can create a custom carousel item as per your requirements.
Now coming to the settings,
The first option that you will comes across is the Carousel Items
You can click any of the Slides tab and change the title of each slide.
In case you want to duplicate [blue] or delete [green] then the options have been indicated in different colors in the above screenshot.
To add more Carousel items, you can click Add Item.
The next option that you will come across allows you to set the number of slides on display.
And here you can select a value by clicking the dropdown. Default value is 3.
After this the next option lets you select the slides on scroll and here you can again select a value using the dropdown. Default value is 1.
Following this is the option of Equal Height.
Moving on from Slides, the next slides that you will comes across is Settings.
And under it you will find all the animation / interaction related settings.
Using this you will be able to set if you want to Auto Play Carousel, change Scroll Speed, set Transition Duration and more.
After Settings, the next tab that you will come across is for the Navigation.
And here you will be able to select if you want to display arrows or not.
If you do then it will let you select / upload icons in Elementor as well.
The last option that you will come across is Pagination and here you will be able to select the type of Pagination you want to display.
As far as the Style Settings are concerned, you will find these under the Style tab.
Just like any widget, using these settings you will be able to Style every aspect of new Carousel widget in Elementor Pro 3.14.
Static Position in Alternate Loop Template
Alternate template is a feature that was introduced in Elementor Pro 3.12 and as the name suggests using this feature you can add another template in Loop Grid.
In Elementor Pro 3.14 update, this feature has received an improvement where a new option known as Static Item Position has been added.
Using this option you can fix the position of an item in Loop Grid and other items will be displayed according to query settings.
To see this change, the first step is to add Loop Grid widget in Elementor and then create or select a template.
In the next step, you need to enable Apply an Alternate Template option and it will allow you to select or add an another template in the Loop Grid.
Once done, it will show you the new option Static Item Position and enabling it will fix the position of Loop item.

Divider in Menu Widget
If you have been following the development of Elementor then you must be familiar with the fact that a new menu widget was introduced in Elementor Pro 3.12.
And it gives you more flexibility when creating menus in WordPress using Elementor.
On top of this you can easily build mega menus using it.
In Elementor Pro 3.14, this widget has received an improvement where a new option to add dividers between menu items has been added to it.
To see this improvement, you will have to activate menu widget in Elementor and for this you need to first enable Container widget in Elementor.
After this you have to activate Nested Elements feature in Elementor.
Once done, under ongoing experiments in Elementor Features tab, you have to locate Menu dropdown, select Active in the dropdown and save changes.
Doing this will enable new Menu widget in Elementor.
In the next step you will have to edit or create a post using Elementor, search and add the new Menu widget.
Now, to add divider between menu items in Elementor you have to navigate to Style Settings.
And here you need to search for Divider option in the menu items tab.
Enabling this option will instantly add divider and it will show you additional options such as
Style
Using this option you will be able to select a style for the divider. You get 4 options to choose from
- Solid
- Double
- Dotted
- Dashed
After this, the next option allows to set the width and height of the divider
Following this you will come across the option to select Colors, set Border Radius and Padding.
All in all you can make these dividers fit your design perfectly.
Shop Page in Site Settings
Moving on from the Menu widget, the next improvement that has been introduced in Elementor Pro 3.14 is the addition of Shop Page in Site Settings.
Using this option, you will be able to select a page and set it as the Shop page for you Woocommerce site.
In other words, you no longer will have to leave your Elementor editor for this purpose.
To see this improvement you need to head over to Woocommerce under Site Settings in Elementor editor.
And clicking it will show you the option to select and set a Shop Page for your site.
Here you will have to click the dropdown and search for the page that you want to set as Shop Page.
Once done, you need to click Update to Save changes.
It is important to know that the option to set Woocommerce pages was added to Site Settings in Elementor Pro 3.5.
Call to Action in Elementor Pro 3.14
In Elementor Pro 3.14 update, Call to Action widget has received a few improvements where Text Shadow, Box Shadow and Padding has been added to its button.
To see this change, you need to add Call to Action widget, navigate to its Style settings and click Button tab.

Visual Indication of Page Parts
After Call to Action widget, the next improvement that has been introduced in Elementor Pro 3.14 is the visual indication of various parts on a page or a post.
To understand this, you open a page on your site and you will see navigation / header on top, footer at the bottom and body in the middle.
With this update, when you will hover your cursor over these parts, it will show you its name.
And on clicking you will be able to edit and make changes which improves the experience.

Get Started with Elementor Pro 3.14
